Wine lovers take note, we are in the Blue Ridge Wine region. Several wineries are close by that offer tours, tastings, restaurants and special events.
Our guests recommend:
Old North State is down the mountain from the campground in downtown Mt. Airy. Wine enthusiasts revel in the daily tasting tours. The restaurant serves lunch and dinner, and you can make reservations for the Chef’s Table experience. If you find that you love their wine, join their Wine Club.
Round Peak Vineyards is also located in Mt. Airy and offers outoor dry wine and sweet wine tastings on their patios. Not a wine lover? No problem, they have a selection of Skullcamp beer. Check their website for special events. Dog lovers don’t forget to bring along your best friend.
Chateau Morrisette in Floyd, VA is another winery that our guests enjoy. Scenic outdoor seating, a tasting room, gift shop, live music and cellar tours are just some of the reasons why this winery is a favorite destination.
