At Fancy Gap Cabins and Campground, your RV site is surrounded by the beauty and tranquility of rolling hills, woods and mountains. We also have tent sites, camping cabins and a motel. So, invite your friends and family to join you along the Blue Ridge Parkway. Check in begins at 2 pm and check out is by 11 am.

Reservations

During our reason, make same day reservations online until 5 pm. Between 5 pm and 9 pm, guests must call 276-730-7154 to reserve a site. Same day reservations are not available after 9 pm by phone or online. Also, same day bookings are nonrefundable.

RV Camping on the Blue Ridge Parkway

Our thirteen, full-hook-up sites accommodate up to 50 feet. Four pull-through and nine back-in sites each have water, sewer, electric (110/30/50), fire rings and picnic tables. Three of our back-in sites, 9, 11, and 13, have decks. Sites are gravel, except for grass-covered 3 and 4. Our sites are also level, but, because we’re in the mountains, our campground is hilly. The RV area is surrounded by woods with walking trails, grass and an apple orchard. The bathhouse with five, private bathrooms and utility sinks is nearby too.

RV sites 8 and 9 are best for large, tri-axle fifth-wheels. If these sites are not available, call before booking. These designated sites minimize turns, making it easier for tri-axels to enter and exit.

Please note that rates are based on an occupancy of 4 people. Additional people are $5 per person, per day.

If you are planning to sleep in your car (i.e. mini-van, SUV or sedan), tent site 14, our only drive-in tent space, is another option. Fancy Gap Cabins and Camground RV pull thru

Our four pull-through sites sites on the top of the hill can also be described as pulll in and pull out. Guests have the advantage of a nice view that includes seeing the sunrise and the sunset.

RV Site 1 Fancy Gap Cabins and Campground

RV1 (50 ft) is best for travelers with large rigs who don’t want to unhitch. The site sits on the edge or our apple orchard, right up the hill from our bath house.

Small campers and tow vehicles that total less than 35 ft are a fit for RV 2. We are pet friendly. So, don’t forget your best friends. Pet fees do not apply to RV reservations.

Grass sites 3 and 4 are for pop ups, vans, truck campers or motorhomes less than 30 ft.

Nine, gravel back-in sites handle 30 to 50 ft. Travel trailers and 5th wheels will find 4-wheel high helpful when backing in, but it’s not required.

A retaining wall gives 5 (30 ft) more privacy, but nature abounds with grass, apple trees and woods all around.

RV 6 (40 ft) is nestled between 5 and 7, making it a great site to reserve as part of a group. The site backs up to the apple orchard and is near the bath house.

No matter the size of your camper, RV 7 (40 ft) is a favorite site. It offers space and privacy with trees to one side and grass and the apple orchard behind it. The bath house is close as well.

RV8 (46 ft) is bordered by woods. Four-wheel drive high is recommended for travel trailers and fifth wheels (not motorhomes). The best site for tri-axle, fifth-wheels.

RV9 with deck Fancy Gap Cabins and Campground

A deck at RV9 (50 ft.) extends the outdoor living space bringing guests closer to the woods and providing more space for fires, cooking and time together. This site is, along with 8, best for tri-axle, fifth-wheels.

Central in the RV area, 10 (40 ft) is a place for friends and family to gather and enjoy time together. Trailheads are right behind the site for those who want a walk in the woods.

The deck at RV 11 (40 ft) gives guests more room to enjoy the outdoors and each other.

Larger motorhomes and fifth wheels often occupy 12 (40 ft).

A shaded deck, grassy area and 45 ft make RV 13 the most requested site at Fancy Gap Cabins and Campground.
