If you’re a fan of blue grass music or just curious to know more about the musical genre, follow the Crooked Road Heritage Music Trail. The Crooked Road covers 300 miles and connects 19 counties, four cities, and 54 towns. They all share the rich musical history of the region. There are two ways to enjoy the Crooked Road.
Exhibits
Follow the signs that will lead you along the scenic highways and byways of Southwest Virginia. Make sure to stop at the 26 roadside exhibits. Get out of your car to read the exhibits or tune in on your car radio to listen to an audio recording.
Venues
Along the Crooked Road, you can also visit 69 different venues in different communities across the region. Each venue presents a different way to experience blue grass music from jam sessions and concerts to museums, dances, radio shows and instrument making.
