If you’re looking for a motel room, a cabin, RV space or tent site on the Blue Ridge Parkway then plan to stay at Fancy Gap Cabins and Campground. Book online or call us at 276-730-7154 to make reservations through November 3, 2024. For same-day reservations, please call. They cannot be made online.

Our eight motel rooms include a queen bed with bedding. Room 1 is the only room with a queen bed and an occupancy of two. Rooms 2,3,4,6,7, and 8 have a queen bed and a futon that folds out to a full-size bed. Room five has a queen bed and a queens size sleeper sofa. Bring bedding for the futons or sleeper sofa or rent sets for $5.

Each room has a mini-fridge, microwave and coffee maker with cups, sugar and creamer. We also have a choice of hot chocolate and hot tea. The motel rooms have the advantage of a full bathroom with towels, hand soap, and travel-sized soap, shampoo and conditioner. There is AC, heat, TV and free Wi-Fi.

Porch seating with views of the Blue Ridge Parkway and mountains are right outside each room. Guests can enjoy picnic tables, fire rings and charcoal grills. The motel is near our walking trails. There is plenty of parking, and each room is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized.

Occupancy is based on two people. Each additional person with a maximum of 4 people per room (excluding room 1) is $10 per person, per night. Pets are welcome. Our pet fee is $10 per pet, per night.

Motorcyclists

Motorcyclists, our motel is at the top of a steep, gravel hill. Lots of people on motorcycles stay at the motel, but it is up to you whether you want to drive it or have us shuttle you. Please let us know when you check in.

Relish views of the Blue Ridge Parkway and surrounding mountains when you stay at our motel.

Room 1 has an occupancy of two, and the best view of the Blue Ridge Parkway. With a queen bed (no futon), Roku TV and a comfy recliner, the room is perfect for a couple looking for an escape.

Comfortable and cozy, room 2 is great for a one-night stay or weekend get away.

A spacious bathroom sets room 3 apart from the others.

Motel 4 is at the end of building one, right at the stairs and near parking.

The largest of our motel rooms, motel 5 has an occupancy of four with a queen bed and queen sleeper sofa. Rooms 5, 6,7 and 8 are accessible without climbing stairs.

Historic Mabry Mill is north of us on the Parkway and celebrated in Room 6.

Star decor and a red-door headboard give room 7 a patriotic feel.

FAQ’s

Office/Store Hours

The office/store is open Sunday through Thursday from 9 am to 6 pm. Fridays and Saturdays closing time is 7 pm. The owners live on site and answer the phone for questions and reservations until 9 pm daily.

Guests checking in after the office is closed will find all of their information waiting for them in the box right outside our office door in an envelope with their name on it.

Between 9 pm and 9 am, all callers must a leave a message. The owners will respond to registered guests staying on site immediately. All others will receive a return call the next morning after the office opens at 9 am.

Rate, Charges and Cancellations

Rate

Our base rate is $78. State and local taxes, a $3.50 booking fee per unit reserved and credit card processing charges are added to each reservation. Rates are higher on Easter, Memorial Day, July 4th and Labor Day.

Lost key fee is $25.

Cancellations and Refunds

Call 72 hours or more before the day you arrive to cancel your reservation. Before a deposit is refunded, a service charge of eight percent of your total reservation will be subtracted. The minimum service charge is $5.00.

Deposits and any other monies paid are forfeited when guests cancel within 72 hours of their scheduled arrival or depart early for any reason (including illness or inclement weather).

No shows are charged their entire balance due.

Refunds are not given for reservations made and cancelled on the day of arrival.

Check in and Check Out

Check in is 2 pm. Check out is 11 am.

Check in

Early Check In

Early check in for the cabins or motel is available only if the cabin or motel room you reserved was not occupied the night before. You must call ahead to confirm that early check in is available. The earliest you can check in is noon. There is a $10 early check in fee.

Late Check Out

Late check out is 1 pm and must be requested ahead of time. The fee is $10. Guests staying after 1 pm will be charged for another night’s stay.

Occupancy

Motel room one has a queen bed and an occupancy of two. Rooms 2,3,6,7 and 8 have a maximum occupancy of four and have a queen bed and a futon that folds out to a full size bed. Room 5 has a queen bed and queen size sleeper sofa.

Extra Linens

You can bring additional linens for the futon. To rent a set is $5. Additional towels are provided for motel guests upon request.

Holidays - Rates and Minimum Night Stay Requirements

Motel holiday rates are $88.00 per night plus taxes and fees. This rate applies over Easter, Memorial Day, July 4 and Labor Day. Easter does not have a minimum night stay requirement. Memorial Day weekend and July 4th have a two-night minimum stay. Labor Day weekend has a three-night minimum stay. There is no refund for cancellations.

Directions

Please Follow These Directions

We are located off I-77, exit 8 in Virginia.

Take exit 8 and follow the signs to Highway 52/Fancy Gap.

Turn right at the stop sign with a blinking light to go south on Highway 52.

Go a half mile and turn right after the Amoco Station and Lakeview Restaurant at the brown sign that reads Parkway.

At the stop sign, turn right going south on the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Travel 3.5 miles. We are on the left next to the Fancy Gap Ranger’s office between mileposts 202 and 203. You should see our LOVE sign, camping cabins and lighted sign.

Please Do Not

Do not take exit 1 off I-77. Also, make sure you’re GPS does not lead you off the Blue Ridge Parkway onto some of the side roads. Keep in mind that not all GPS is reliable in our area.

Alternate Route

An alternate route to is Highway 52 north out of Winston-Salem, NC to the Blue Ridge Parkway in Fancy Gap.

Pets

We are pet friendly. There is a $10 per pet, per night fee for the motel. We do ask that owners keep their pets on a leash and do not leave them unattended. Please keep your pets under control and clean up after them. Guests may be ask to leave and no refund will be provided if pets repeatedly disturb other guests.

Military

Current and retired military receive a 10 percent discount with proper identification.

Book a Week

Book seven nights and pay for six.

Groups

Groups of five or more reservations of any combination of RV, tent, cabin or motel receive a 10 percent discount.

Apex Club

Join the Apex Club and receive 10% off your stay from participating campgrounds like Fancy Gap Cabins and Campground. An annual fee of $30 applies.

Call us at 276-730-7154 to have applicable discounts applied. If you make an online reservation, discounts will be applied at check in.

Damages

Guests are responsible for repaying the campground/motel owners for the cost of repairs or replacement when property is damaged. Examples of damage include but are not limited to water hydrants, electrical boxes and outlets, walls, grass, roads, bedding and towels.

Smoking and Drinking

Smoking and Vaping

Do not smoke or vape any substance including marijuana inside any campground building or motel room. Violators will be fined $250. Dispose of butts and vaping trash in provided receptacles and trash cans.

Alcohol

Drinking alcoholic beverages is allowed as long as guests are of the legal age and do not disturb others. Guests who drink to excess and disturb others will be asked to leave the campground without a refund.

Parking Fee for Extra Vehicles

Because of our small size, each reservation includes parking for 2 vehicles. To park more than 2 vehicles, there is a $5 fee per vehicle. This does not include trailers. If you are towing a trailer, please let us know ahead of time. We do have alternate spaces for trailers since many times they do not fit in designated parking areas.
