Situated along a sloped, gravel road facing peach trees and the Blue Ridge Parkway, settle in a one-room camping cabin. Sleep comfortably on a queen bed outfitted with quilts, blankets and sheets. Four cabins have futons that pull out to a full-size bed. The other two have bunk beds. If you don’t have linens for the futons or bunk beds, you can rent sets for $5.

Additionally, cabins come equipped with free Wi-Fi, a mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker (with coffee, cups, creamer, sugar as well as the choice of hot chocolate or hot tea), table and chairs, table lamp, extension cord with outlets and USB ports, porch chairs, water hydrants, charcoal grills, fire rings and picnic tables. For warm days, open the windows and turn on the 10-inch box fan and ceiling fan. On chilly nights, there is a floor heater in each cabin. Another benefit, the bath house with five private, full bathrooms and utility sinks is nearby.

Please Note

Our cabins do not have a bathroom. Guests walk over to our bath house. If you’d like a full bathroom and/or AC, please click here take a look at our motel. Towels are not included in the cabins. Please remember to pack them or rent a set for $5 or a bath towel for $2.50. Queen beds have bedding. Bedding for the futons or bunk beds is $5 extra per set. You are welcome to bring your own.

Rates are based on an occupancy of 2 people. Additional people are $10 per day, per person. Pets are welcome. There is a $10 per pet, per day fee.

Our one-room camping cabins give you a camping experience without having to pack all of the equipment.

Camp in comfort in our cabins with a queen bed (includes bedding), microwave, minifridge, table, chairs, lamp, Wi-Fi and coffee maker. The best part is the outdoor space to relax, visit and cook your favorite camping meal.

All the cabins comfortably sleep 2 but can sleep 3 to 4. Cabins 1, 2, 5 and 6 have a queen bed and a futon that can fold out to a full size bed.

Cabins 3 and 4 have a queen bed with bunk beds. Bring your own bedding for the bunkbeds and futons or rent sets for $5. For safety, top bunks have a 200 pound weight limit.

Cabins 5 is the last of our cabins facing the Parkway and 6 is offset facing our woods. They have everything all of the cabins have plus a little extra privacy.

Each of our camping cabins includes a fire pit, charcoal grill, picnic table and water hydrant. Many guests consider time around the fire and a meal on the grill the best part of their visit.

The cabins are close to the bathhouse with five, full, private bathrooms and utility sinks. Every cabin has views of the peach orchard, Blue Ridge parkway, rolling hills, woods, starry nights and sunsets.

FAQ’s

Office/Store Hours

The office/store is open Sunday through Thursday from 9 am to 6 pm. Fridays and Saturdays closing time is 7 pm. The owners live on site and answer the phone for questions and reservations until 9 pm daily.

Guests checking in after the office is closed will find all of their information waiting for them in the box right outside our office door in an envelope with their name on it.

Between 9 pm and 9 am, all callers must a leave a message. The owners will respond to registered guests staying on site immediately. All others will receive a return call the next morning after the office opens at 9 am.

Rate, Charges and Cancellations

Rate

Our base rate is $62. State and local taxes plus a $3.50 booking fee per unit reserved and a credit card processing fee are added to each reservation. Rates are higher on holidays.

Rates are based on 2-person occupancy. Additional people and pets are $10 extra per day, per person or pet.

Lost key fee is $25.

Cancellations and Refunds

If you call to cancel more than 72 hours before the morning that you arrive then you receive your deposit back minus an 8% percent fee based on your total reservation. The minimum fee is $5.

Guests forfeit deposits and other monies paid when canceling within 72 hours of the day they arrive and when they depart early for any reason (including illness or inclement weather).

Refunds aren’t given for reservations made and cancelled on the day of arrival.

No shows are charged their entire balance due.

Check in and Check out

Check in begins at 2 pm, and check out is 11 am.

Check in

The office/store is open Sunday through Thursday from 9 am to 6 pm. Fridays and Saturdays closing time is 7 pm. All guests and visitors must check in at the office when arriving.

Late Arrivals

Guests checking in after the office is closed will find all of their information in an envelope with their name on it waiting for them in the box right outside the office door.

Early Check In

Call ahead to see if early check in is available for your site. The early check-in fee is $10. Campers cannot check in before noon.

Late Check Out

Guests must request a late check out, which is 1 pm. It is not always available. The fee is $10. Guests staying after 1 pm will be charged for another night’s stay.

Linens

If you need towels or extra linens for the futons (cabins 1, 2, 5 and 6) or bunk beds (cabins 3 and 4), you can rent sets for $5 each. A set of towels is $5. A bath towel is $2.50.

Holidays - Rates and Minimum Night Stays

Cabin holiday rates are $72.00 per night plus taxes and fees. They apply over Memorial Day, July 4 and Labor Day. Memorial Day and July 4th weekends have a two-night minimum stay. Labor Day weekend has a three-night minimum stay. There is no refund for cancellations.

Directions

Follow These Directions

Take exit I-77, exit 8 in Virginia following signs to Highway 52/Fancy Gap.

Then, turn right at the stop sign with a blinking light going south on Highway 52.

Next, go a half mile, turn right after the Amoco Station and Lakeview Restaurant at the brown Blue Ridge Parkway (BRP) sign.

At the next stop sign, turn right going south on the BRP.

Finally, travel 3.5 miles. You’ll see our LOVE sign, camping cabins main sign on the left. Turn left after the sign for the Fancy Gap Ranger’s office and drive straight into the campground. Check in at the office.

Please Don’t

Don’t take I-77, exit 1. Also, don’t let your GPS lead you off the BRP.

Alternate Routes

Highway 52N out of Winston-Salem, NC to the BRP South in Fancy Gap.

On the BRP, we’re between mileposts 202 and 203 next to the Fancy Gap Ranger’s office.

Pet Fee

We are pet friendly. There is a $10 per pet, per night fee for the cabins. We do ask that owners keep their pets on a leash and do not leave them unattended. Please keep your pets under control and clean up after them. Guest who do not follow these requests, especially if your pet bothers others, may be asked to leave with no refund given.

Discounts

Military

Current and retired military receive a 10 percent discount with proper identification.

Book a Week

Book seven nights and pay for six.

Groups

Groups of five or more reservations of any combination of RV, tent, cabin or motel receive a 10 percent discount.

Call us at 276-730-7154 to have applicable discounts applied. If you make an online reservation, discounts will be applied at check in.

Drinking and Smoking

Smoking and Vaping

Do not smoke or vape inside any campground buildings or the motel rooms. Violators will be fined $250. Dispose of butts and vaping trash in provided receptacles and trash cans.

Alcohol

Drinking alcoholic beverages is allowed as long as guests are of the legal age and do not disturb others. Guests who drink to excess and disturb others will be asked to leave the campground without a refund.

Damages

Guests are responsible for repaying the campground owners for the cost of repairs or replacement when campground property is damaged. Examples of damage include but are not limited to water hydrants, electrical boxes and outlets, walls, grass, roads, bedding and towels.

Parking Fee for Additional Vehicles

The parking space behind each cabin is big enough for one vehicle or two motorcycles. Each reservation includes parking for 2 vehicles. To park more than 2 vehicles, there is a $5 fee per vehicle.

This does not include trailers. If you are towing a trailer, please let us know ahead of time. We do have alternate spaces for trailers since many times they do not fit in designated parking areas. Just give us a call at 276-730-7154 or email fancygapcc@gmail.com to make arrangements.
