Whether you pitch your tent, park your RV, cozy up in a cabin or relax at our motel, stay and play on the Blue Ridge Parkway at Fancy Gap Cabins and Campground through November 3.

For same-day reservations, call 276-730-7154. They cannot be made online.

Our three large tent sites include Wi-Fi, water, electric, picnic tables and fire rings or charcoal grills. They are close to the bath house that has five, private bathrooms, hot showers and utility sinks. Rate is based on a maximum of four people per site. Each additional person up to a maximum of 6 is $5 per person, per day. There is no pet fee for tent camping.

Tent 14 is our only drive-in site. Sites 15/16 and 17/18 front our tent road. Guests park on the tent road and in a few steps are in their site.

Guests with pop-ups, conversion vans, truck campers, enclosed trailers or similar vehicles need to register for an RV site.

The tent area at Fancy Gap Cabins and Campground. Each site has Wi-Fi, water, electric, picnic table and a charcoal grill or a fire ring with a cooking grate.

Tent 14 is the only site with its own drive. The site is 40 X 20 ft, shaded and works with tents and hammocks. This site has a charcoal grill and fire ring.

Tent 15/16 is a double site that suits tents and hammocks. It is partially shaded with a charcoal grill and fire ring.

Tent 17/18 is a at the end of tent road with a fire ring that includes a grill plate. The double site gives tent campers room to set up a spacious and comfortable camp.

FAQ’s

Office/Store Hours

The office/store is open Sunday through Thursday from 9 am to 6 pm. Fridays and Saturdays closing time is 7 pm. The owners live on site and answer the phone for questions and reservations until 9 pm daily.

Guests checking in after the office is closed will find all of their information waiting for them in the box right outside our office door in an envelope with their name on it.

Between 9 pm and 9 am, all callers must a leave a message. The owners will respond to registered guests staying on site immediately. All others will receive a return call the next morning after the office opens at 9 am.

Rate, Charges and Cancellations

Rate

Our base rate for tent sites is $30. Virginia sales tax, a $3.50 booking fee per unit reserved and credit card processing fees are added to each reservation.

Cancellations and Refunds

Call 72 hours or more before the morning you arrive to cancel your reservation. Before a deposit is refunded, a service charge of eight percent of your total reservation will be subtracted. The minimum service charge is $5.00.

Deposits and any other monies paid are forfeited when guests cancel within 72 hours of their scheduled arrival or depart early for any reason (including illness or inclement weather).

No shows are charged the entire balance due.

Refunds are not given for reservations made and cancelled on the day of arrival.

Check In and Check Out

Check in is 2 pm, and check out is 11 am.

Early Check In

Call ahead to see if early check in is available for your site. The early check-in fee is $10. Campers cannot check in before noon.

Late Check Out

Guests must request a late check out, which is 1 pm. It is not always available. The fee is $10. Guests staying after 1 pm will be charged for another night’s stay.

Holidays- Rates and Minimum Night Stays

Tent camping rates on holidays are $35.00 per night plus tax and fees. They apply Easter, Memorial Day weekend, July 4 and Labor Day weekend. Easter does not have a minimum night stay requirement. Memorial Day weekend and July 4th have a two-night minimum stay. Labor Day weekend has a three-night minimum stay. There is no refund for cancellations.

Directions

Please Follow These Directions

Exit off I-77 exit 8 in Virginia.

Take exit 8, and follow the signs to Highway 52/Fancy Gap.

Turn right at the stop sign with a blinking light to go south on Highway 52.

Go a half mile and turn right at the brown sign that reads Parkway. The sign is right after the Amoco Station and Lakeview Restaurant .

At the stop sign, turn right going south on the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Travel 3.5 miles. We are on the left next to the Fancy Gap Ranger’s office between mileposts 202 and 203. You should see our LOVE sign, camping cabins and main sign.

Please Do Not

Do not take exit 1 off I-77. Also, make sure your GPS does not lead you off the Blue Ridge Parkway onto side roads. Keep in mind that not all GPS is reliable in our area.

Alternate Route

Take Highway 52 north out of Winston-Salem, NC to the Blue Ridge Parkway South in Fancy Gap.

Pets

We are pet friendly. There is no pet fee in the tent area. We do ask that owners keep their pets on a leash and do not leave them unattended. Please keep your pets under control and clean up after them. Pet owners may be asked to leave without a refund if pets repeatedly disturb other guests.

Military

Current and retired military receive a 10 percent discount with proper identification.

Book a Week

Book seven nights and pay for six.

Groups

Groups of five or more reservations of any combination of RV, tent, cabin or motel receive a 10 percent discount.

Call us at 276-730-7154 to apply discounts. For online reservations, discounts will apply at check in.

Damages

Guests are responsible for repaying the campground owners for the cost of repairs or replacement when campground property is damaged. Examples of damage include but are not limited to water hydrants, electrical boxes and outlets, walls, grass, roads, bedding and towels.

Smoking and Drinking

Smoking and Vaping

Do not smoke or vape any substance including marijuana inside any camprougnd building or the motel. Violators receive a $250 fine. Dispose of butts and vaping trash in provided receptacles and trash cans.

Alcohol

Drinking alcoholic beverages is allowed as long as guests are of legal age and do not disturb others. Guests who drink to excess and disturb others or who are underage will be asked to leave the campground without a refund.

Parking Fee for Extra Vehicles

Because of our small size, each reservation includes parking for 2 vehicles. To park more than 2 vehicles, there is a $5 fee per vehicle. This does not include trailers. If you are towing a trailer, please let us know ahead of time. We do have alternate spaces for trailers since many times they do not fit in designated parking areas.
