If you need to stock up on supplies while you’re staying at Fancy Gap Cabins and Campground, we have a few items in our camp store like s’mores kits, ice cream, peanuts, candy, charcoal, wood, ice and propane for camp stoves. We’ve added a couple of breakfast items like oatmeal cups as well as quick, microwavable bites like macaroni and cheese and ramen noodles.

The closest store with groceries is Dollar General in Fancy Gap, about four miles away. Dollar General has beer, wine, chips and canned and frozen items. They also have cleaning products and a selection of health and beauty products.

Food Lion, a full service grocery store with fresh produce and vegetables, is next to Family Dollar 11 miles away on Highway 52 N in Hillsville.

Walmart is located in Galax, about 19 miles away. Take I-77 N to exit 14, turn left on Highway 58 and drive several miles until you see Walmart on the right. You will pass the Southwest Farmers Market on your way to Walmart where you can pick up locally grown produce and other snacks and treats. Just beyond Walmart is Food City. They have a fresh meat counter as well as a tremendous produce area.

For other needs, Lowe’s and Tractor Supply are located near Walmart in Galax. Mt. Airy, NC, which is on Hwy 52 S, also has Walmart, Food Lion and Lowes Foods.
